Raised in a family with strong ties to dentistry, the military, and law enforcement, I have always been inspired by a sense of duty to serve others. A Mississippi native, I earned my undergraduate degree from Millsaps College and a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Before dental school, I gained hands-on experience as a dental assistant while I prepared my application. 

In May 2024, I graduated with my DMD from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. I then completed UNM's Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program, where I was introduced to the rich culture and natural landscape of New Mexico. I have always been driven by a deep-seated commitment to serving and contributing to the well being of underserved communities. Living here in NM has been wonderful, from meeting all of my sweet patients to exploring the natural beauty of the state. I am honored to begin my career here and make a difference as part of the dental community.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy drawing and painting, reading and writing, playing video games, traveling, exploring nature, and spending time with friends and family, and loving on my pets.

Hello, my name is Melanie. I received my dental hygiene degree from Eastern Florida State College in 2005. I am passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile. With over 20 years of experience as a dental hygienist, I've dedicated myself to providing personalized and comprehensive oral hygiene care. I am committed to educating patients about their oral health and helping them make informed decisions. I believe in a patient-centered approach, and I focus on creating a comfortable and relaxed experience. 

Outside of work, I enjoy brewing homemade kombucha, throwing pottery on the wheel and spending time with my husband and teenage son, hiking and camping the landscape of beautiful New Mexico! I am proud to be part of the Enchanted Smiles Dental team and I look forward to providing excellent patient care within our community.
